2020 through the lens of the Low Approach members: Edwin Huskens

Next in line is Edwin Huskens to show us his selection. His first picture is the Rafale M 3 from ETR.03.004, photographed during the landing at Saint Dizier on January 6

Photo #2: KC135R 63-8028 from Alaska ANG after an refueling mission for the NATO E-3A Component at Geilenkirchen on January 7. Unfortunately since mid-March COVID-19 stopped these regular tanker deployments. 

Photo #3 On June 16, two F-16CM landed at the Charleroi Sabca Facility. It was nice to see back two ‘Tigers’ from the 79th Fighter Squadron nowadays based at Shaw AFB. Till 1993 the 79th Fighter Squadron visited with their F-111 Aardvark more regular Belgian airspace when based at Upper Heyford in the UK.

Photo #4 Brand new French KC-130J during exercise Falcon Leap on September 10 departed Eindhoven airbase on a nice sunny evening.

Photo #5 The highlight from 2020 was for sure the participation from the Israeli Air Force during Blue Wings 2020 above German airspace. Nevertheless, a month later two Italian Amx ‘Ghibli’s’ which made a fuel stop at Norvenich airbase on September 30  after flying over the Polygone Range were also due to their upcoming retirement in the Italian Air Force after more than 30 years a nice catch.
